What we do
Our process is to take one of your memories in the form of a photograph and make it into a beautiful piece of art you can touch and feel.
Every piece we produce comes to life with a raised texture. Our unique process adds sculpted depth to every design, bringing your memories of people, family, places you’ve been, houses, baches, pets, and words vividly to life. Unlike ordinary prints, all our art is designed to emphasize depth - art you can feel.
All the art we produce comes back to you, individually crafted, framed and ready to hang or display, or pick up and play with! Art you can touch.
We also have a collection that has been chosen by our extended family members. Representing some of their emotions, they might be applicable to you. They will give you some indication of the range of styles that might suit you. Every piece you purchase from Gumboot Gallery will be unique to you. Only one original can ever be purchased.
You send a photo of, for example, a much-loved home and we’ll turn it into a piece of textured art, either as it is or in a style that suits you…all with a depth you can feel.

The nuts and bolts
At Gumboot Gallery we like to keep things simple so the sizes we will produce are designed to make this an affordable option. You’ve all seen the ridiculous prices charge for frames online, so we bypass that for you.
Our art is designed to fit into any room in your house - wherever you think that memory belongs.
Three art sizes are offered:
300mm x 200mm
400mm x 300mm
300mm x 300mm
The standard floating frames add approximately 30mm to the dimensions. Frames can be purchased that add around 180mm to each dimension with a white surround. Choice of colour for the frames is hand-painted black or white.
The art is produced on acid free, primed canvas using UV ink resin. This allows us to create high-density brilliant colours that are ultra durable.

Part of the reason for our existence is the frustration about the price of quality art in New Zealand. To make things affordable we have a simple pricing system that include everything you need to display your art. Every piece comes in a hand-painted frame, with fixings, securely packed and delivered to you.

In addition, we can produce a 300 piece fiendishly tricky jigsaw puzzle of your chosen piece. A great gift or talking point for the younger, or older generations - just $49 if delivered at the same time.
All the art shown here is available - ready to go. These are one off pieces and have been selected to make the most of the raised relief feature of our process. These pieces are available to you at $10 less than the personalized art prices for the equivalent size.
